1. p. 23  Paradigms and Principles work from the inside-out.  Character ethic, personality ethic, the more closely our maps are aligned with principles such as integrity, service, quality or nurturance, the more accurate and functional they will be.
2.  Habit 1 Be Proactive- p.75 It means recognizing our responsibility to make things happen I choose, I prefer, I will.  Behavior is a product of their own conscious choice based on values.  Be a solution to problems not the problems themselves. 
P. 88 do more than what is expected anticipate needs and underlying concern when presenting information give an analysis and recommendations based on the analysis.
3.  Habit 2 Begin with the end in mind   p. 96 Is the principle that all things are created twice- once as a mental creation and then as a physical creation.  P. 109 Start with a mission statement, our circle of influence, our source of security (self-esteem), guidance (source of direction) , wisdom (understanding) and power (capacity to act).  To Live an Enlightened Life by Enriching the Lives of Others.
4.  Habit 3 Put first things first  p.147 is the second creation, the physical creation, the exercise of independent will.  p. 149 organize and execute around priorities.  P. 173 Stewardship delegation is focused on results instead of methods gives choice and responsibility desired results, guidelines, resources, accountability, and consequences.
5.  Paradigms of Interdependence  p. 186 Self-mastery and self-discipline are the foundation of good relationships with others. P.190- 197 Six major emotional deposits understand the individual, attend to the little things, keep commitments, clarify expectations, show personal integrity, and apologize sincerely when you make a withdrawal.  P. 199 Constant deposits of unconditional love.
6.  Habit 4 Think win/win  p. Is a frame of mind and heart that constantly seeks mutual benefit in all human interactions.  It's not your way or my way, it's a better way, a higher way.  P. 216- 233 Five dimensions to Win/Win character (integrity, maturity, abundance mentality), relationships (trust), agreements (performance), systems (support), and processes (the how's).

7. Habit 5 Seek first to understand, then to be understood p. 240 Empathic listening gets inside another person's frame of reference. P.249 You rephrase the content and reflect the feelings.  P. 252 The key is to genuinely seek the welfare of the individual, to listen with empathy, to let the person get to the problem and the solution at their own pace and time.
8.  Habit 6 Synergize  p. 262 Synergy is the essence of principle centered leadership it means that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. To value differences, to respect them, to build on strengths, to compensate for weaknesses.p.264 When you communicate synergistically, you are opening your mind and hear and expressions to new possibilities, new alternative, new options. p. 267 The more authentic you become, the more genuine in your expression, particularly regarding personal experiences and even self-doubts, the more people can relate to your expression and the safer it makes them feel to express themselves.  Seek new synergistic experiences, different, and sometimes higher purposes. Valuing the differences teamwork.
9.  Habit 7 Sharpen the saw  Balanced self-renewal spiritual (value clarification, commitment, study and meditations), mental (reading, visualizing, planning, writing) , physical (exercise, nutrition, stress management) and social/emotional (service, empathy, synergy, intrinsic security)p. 302 In an organization, the physical dimension is expressed in economic terms.  The mental or psychological dimensions deals with the recognition, development, and the use of talent.  The social/emotional dimensions has to do with the human relations, with how people are treated. And the spiritual dimension deals with finding meaning through purpose and through organizational integrity.
